American Red Cross

American Red Cross has many volunteer opportunities. In SLO County we need volunteers, particularly in the North County area of San Luis Obispo County, who want to volunteer for our Disaster Cycle Services (DCS). DCS volunteers have three areas of focus: Prepare - teaching communities to take action before, during, and after a disaster to limit the impact of the event and help our clients bounce back faster and more fully, Respond - meet clients immediate disaster-caused needs, Recover - assist clients in bridging the gap between what they can accomplish on their own and what is necessary for them to recover from a disaster.
